Mistakes to Avoid while Setting Up a Wedding Registry

Marriage is one of the happiest moments of your life and probably you have planned a few things in mind to make it outstanding. You already have decided what is going to be on the food menu and what kind of wedding invitation card you are going to purchase. On this auspicious occasion, your guests will also bestow gifts. However, if you want them to give items according to your choices, setting up a wedding registry is the best option. While setting up one, you should avoid the following mistakes.

The first mistake is not setting up one. Most couples do not set up a wedding registry in the hope that their guests will bring the cash. However, your guests would be relying on the registry to give you the most convenient gift. If you do not set up one, probably you will have a lot of unnecessary gifts at the end of the ceremony. Therefore, it is necessary to set up a registry.

The second mistake is not mentioning enough inexpensive items. Since every guest will have different economic conditions, you cannot expect everyone to spend the same budget for the gifts. So, you should describe some expensive and some inexpensive items on the wish list. This list should be created according to the economic conditions of each guest.

The third mistake is not describing dream items. Sometimes pretending to be modest, you will not mention your desired items just because these are expensive.  It is appropriate to mention these things in the wedding registry. Probably, some of your friends will give you these by joining together.

The fourth mistake is describing the wrong number of gifts. If you describe too many items in the registry, you might not get the desired things. If you mention a few things, your guests will find it typical to purchase items at the desired price. You should try to mention two or three items per guest.

Well, these are some mistakes which you should avoid while setting up a registry. Once you are done, you can either send it with wedding cards or publish it online.
